Hazelwell House WalesRed Square were appointed to provide a full design and sourcing service. We worked alongside a consultant team made up of Project Managers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Landscape Designers and Lighting Designers.
Our role was to develop the concept and detail design, oversee co-ordination of all technical drawings and details, design and source all interior details and soft furnishings and liaise with all specialist trade and client nominated contractors. This 32,000 sqft, Frank Lloyd Wright inspired prairie style house located on an organic farm, made use of eco-friendly technology. Hot geothermic water supply was used alongside solar heating panels to warm the large internal swimming pool, Jacuzzi and domestic supply. Reed beds were integrated into the landscaping to filter waste water, which is used on the farm. Audio and Visual technology was used to control the lighting, sound, televisions, blinds and sliding window panels. An intelligent building management system is used to control the under floor heating, air conditioning, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and the roof lights automatically open/close to control humidity levels. Red Square were responsible for developing all aspects of the design (both internally and externally), from detailing bespoke joinery in a wine cellar, designing custom made baths and basins, to selecting furniture and fabrics.   |
