The materials and product specifications are used to ensure that the chosen materials and products are listed on a specification document so that the correct items can be ordered.

Our comprehensive selection and sourcing service covers everything from joinery, lighting, sanitary ware, audio visual and fabrics. We obtain samples and produce specification boards for each area of the house. We also arrange visits to suppliers and manufacturers if required. The extensive choice available ensures clients can achieve their desired concept.

Selecting suppliers and drawing up materials and product specifications is critical to achieving the best interior design solution and we guide clients through the entire process. Our aim is to help clients select the finishes, products and materials that produce the appropriate balance between creative design, functionality and cost. more

Red Square's materials and product specification services may include:

  • finishes selection - providing a range of finishes and materials that support the agreed concept design
  • products - assisting with the selection of all products such as sanitary ware, lighting, switch plates, ironmongery and flooring
  • furnishings - providing details of bespoke rug manufacturers and other furnishings such as carpets, furniture, wallpaper and curtain fabrics
  • specialist suppliers - development of specifications for specialist items such as glass panels, audio visual, air conditioning and lighting
  • joinery concept and detail - we produce concept drawings that include sketches and details of finishes which can be used for the purposes of tender. Typical items include wardrobes, cupboards and shelving
  • production of a detailed list of products and finishes , including manufacturer codes, dimensions, summarised description and recommended suppliers.

Red Square environmental policy

Red Square has a policy of using materials that are from sustainable sources in order to reduce environmental damage, destruction of wildlife habitats and effects on the climate. For example, Red Square only uses wood from sustainable forests, where new growth equals or exceeds the amount harvested. Whenever possible, it also sources products made from recycled materials.
